It’s been the monsoon season in Virginia Beach, and this weekend was no exception. It started off wet and hot, but by the time Melissa and Craig’s wedding got started, nobody noticed or cared. The rained eventually stopped and it was a beautiful evening. A sweet night filled with friends and family celebrating. At the end of the evening Craig sang “She’s some kind of Wonderful” to Melissa, with the awesome Vinyl Headlights Band. Check it out.

Family Portrait Photography in Newport News, VA

The cool thing about this image is you can’t tell it was the hottest day of the year, close to 100 degrees, when I captured this earlier this summer at the clients home in Newport News VA on the James River. I had my lighting set up and went back into their house to cool off, wiping the sweat off my face, and drinking a tall glass of water, before getting everyone outside and shooting before they were soaking wet.
