F/A 18 hornet jet plane crash in Virginia Beach, April 6, 2012

UPDATE: April 6, 2012, 2:31PM. An F-18 jet from Oceana N.A.S. flying maneuvers in Virginia Beach crashed today around noon in the middle of the Mayfair apartment complex at 24th Street and South Birdneck Road. The pilot ejected safely. Black smoke is pouring from the crash sight as firefighters try to put out the fire. No reported injuries on the ground, but part of the apartment complex has been destroyed.
